Sitting in her office, Blackberry attentively at her side, with Starbucks in hand, it is clear that Diane Saba's style is topped only by her passion and dedication to her career. And after twenty-six years in her field, she is nowhere near on her way out.
Diane is the Executive Officer and Director of D. Saba & Associates, an Insurance and Financial Services firm that specializes in risk management for individuals and business owners and consulting in the area of employee benefit programs. There are no cookiecutter plans here; Diane, along with her daughter Tanya Saba, focus on individual needs and build around the client to ensure the most comprehensive programs are achieved. Their dynamic team is completed with their client service specialist, Yvette Andrica.
"We're a tight knit family here," says Diane. "We are proud of the strong relationships we have built over the years and certainly proud to be part of this community", she adds. Diane and Tanya go the extra mile and get to know each client on a personal level as well as on a professional level, and that is the key to how they operate at D. Saba & Associates.
They eliminate all risks, and make sure the clients are aware they are investing in guaranteed products. Education is a large factor in easing the client into a plan that best fits their needs. "We are educating people in being comfortable with insurance and how well it fits into their life plan," says Diane. There are many benefits to their flexible and customized insurance plans for both individuals and businesses, such as controlling debt, securing a comfortable retirement, minimizing taxes, estate planning, and employee benefit plans.
Clients can feel confident that they are getting the A-list treatment from Diane and Tanya. Their custom plans build a bomb shelter around investments, making sure they're being protected to the utmost degree.
"We guide our clients on the same path we would want to be guided on," says Tanya.
Adds Diane, "We don't continue on it unless we're 100% sure we would do it for ourselves."
After obtaining her B.A. and B. Comm. from the University of Windsor, Diane was working with another insurance company for only two years before she decided to go out on her own as a broker. Twenty-six years later, her passion is still unmatched and quite apparent by the way she speaks enthusiastically about her career. She was recently recognized as one of the top financial security advisors in the country.
Her advice for success is simple - "You just have to love what you do. If you don't love it, you won't excel in it," she says.
Tanya graduated from the University of Windsor with a B.A. also, and joined the practice two years ago. Her clientele are mainly younger people that she can grow with, and many of them are her close friends.
Tanya and Diane are strong community supporters and advocates. Diane is an active founding member of the Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital Foundation. Also, as a golfer herself, she loves sponsoring charity golf tournaments and getting involved.
When these two vibrant women aren't working, they are taking advantage of Windsor's diverse restaurant scene, and shopping in Windsor and across the border. Diane loves taking weekend getaways, and she's a complete exercise enthusiast.
The word retirement is not even close to being in Diane's mind anytime soon. She has a long-term succession plan that Tanya is very much a part of, while her daughter, Dayna, 19, pursues a career in design and architecture.
"It doesn't feel like work; it's what we do," says Diane.
"We live and breathe it," adds Tanya. TDM
